Guys,

I am looking to replace the rear 6 by 9's and 6 inchers in my doors of my TF. Was wondering if anyone new of some decent speakers that will slot in without any modification? I'm not after anything too flash, and don't need splits in the front, just want it looking stock, sounding better to go with my pioneer head unit.

Cheers

Mick

I just put Fujitsu Eclipse 6x9 3 ways in to my parcel shelf. Sound clarity is amazing. I picked them up on sale from Tonkins for $99 4 weeks ago. Eclipse have dropped their prices something crazy to compete with Alpine, Pioneer and Xplod.

In my opinion your alot better off going with splits over coaxial speakers, install is simple if you mount the tweeters up on the little round plastic discs at both ends of your dash, and then the cross overs up above your feet. Sound quality wise theres a big difference between equally rated splits and coaxials. And by having the tweeter up on the dash facing you, less of the higher notes are blocked out by your leg etc, meaning you get a clearer more balanced sound.

As for 6x9's, I have a pair of Jensen 240 watt 6x9's in my parcel shelf running straight off my head unit for basic rear fill, RRP is like $99, and compared to alot of more expensive 6x9's these Jensen ones sounded so much better, I couldn't believe it.

I would look into the cadence range of speakers..

Cadence slashed heaps off their retail prices to get a stage in the market here in Aus.

The quality and sound are great.

You could also look into Kicker or Eclipse.

Eclipse are nice sounding, but it depends on how much u really want to fork out. Nobody really cares about rear fill, but u could get a cheap set of 6x9s or the cheapest set of splits if u really wanted. As for the front, its more important. If you're cheap like me, splits for the front around the 300 dollar mark are ok :P

hmmm, all I need now is time off to go get some stuff for my car he he he. Anyone know if the little slot under the stereo (TF) is din sized? I'm considering getting an in dash LCD screen to put in there, hook up with a dvd player - pretty cool
