Hey,
Sorry if this has been done to death elsewhere (I did a quick search, seems not)
I'm thinking of ordering some new rims & rubber from ozzytyres (http://www.ozzytyres.com.au/) shipped to WA for my tf.
Does anyone know if this place is legit? I see a couple of google searches saying they are sh*t?
If I'm going to drop over a grand I'd like some other opinions if you guys have dealt with them?
(unless ali1988 replies to my PM and then I'll take his rims instead muahahaha :ninja:)
Edit: I'll probably be asking a lot of dumb questions like this in the coming weeks haha... finally dropping some serious cash on my Magna :D

Yeah, I've heard some stories before... Cheap nasty tyres that sound rubbish when you go over 70km/h.

They have physical shopfronts down the East Coast so I'd say they're reasonably legit.
If you're paying $1k for rims and tyres though, they're probably going to be cheap wheels, and the build quality will reflect this (eg may be more prone to buckling, or the surface may degrade quicker). They're usually included with pretty nasty tyres.
Was there a particular combo you were looking for?

I was thinking something like the LAVINHARD 707 17X7.5 MACHINE FACE WHEEL & TYRE PACKAGE
Sorry this site doesn't work with direct linking. It was Wheels + Tyres > Mitsubisihi > Magna > 17"

Nice looking rim, but no mention of the tyres that it comes with.

whoops... The standard supplied are 215/45/17 Forceum Hexa's... Goodyear Eagle F1's can be had for an extra $100, Nitto N555 +$150 and Neogens for +$200

215/45/17s are too small to legally run on a TF Exec.235/45/17 is the closest to factory. 225/50/17 is also legal.
I wouldn't buy any of those tyres. With the exception of the Goodyears, they're all cheap shit. I'm a firm believer in decent quality tyres, so I wouldn't even drive out of the driveway with them.
The Goodyear Eagle F1s are a great tyre, but I would imagine the price to be a mis-print - eg they're about $350-400 each for 235/40/18, vs around $80-100 for the cheap shit....

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll skip these guys and have a look locally in WA.
Cheers!

Tempe tyres in Sydney are pretty good.
I believe both Tempe & Ozzy tyres are parallel importers and based on stories I've heard, some of their quality is a little low.
I bought some 17" K-Speed rims a while ago for $1k from Tempe Tyres. They came with Khumo KU36? tyres which were fine.
When they fitted the wheels, they noticed that some of the rims didn't match colours so they swapped them to ones that did match.
Fitting did take over 3 hours, so was rather annoyed from making an appointment and it taking so long, but if you're going postal you may not have to worry about that.
Quality of the wheels was only OK, nothing great but they didn't break on me while I was cornering at 80 or anything silly. Wheel nuts did rust after a couple of years though which isn't great.
I'd recommend them if you just want a set of rims at a good price, they're OK. I bought my 2 most recent sets of rims from a local tyre shop - better quality wheels, but costs were considerably more too (eg: $1.7k for 18s + tyres)

Used them both..
Basic set of wheels and tyres.. no complaints.
Looking for something half decent - Visit your local tyre shop!

If you shop for wheels at tempe tyres you either are buying cheap junk or you are paying too much for good wheels, the only thing i would use them for is tyres (ones you select yourself)
E.g. eagle F1 aysm 2 from my local shop are $415 a corner, at tempe they are $315 a corner.
