Hey guys hope ur all well.Im currently looking into and will go ahead with replacing my old 3.0 6g72 motor with a 380 motor. I am aware that this motor fits straight into the engine bay of my tf magna sports however i was told it bolts onto my exsisting 4 speed tippy auto evn though the 380 motor was mated to a 5 speed tippy.I was also told that the manifold is diffrent so am changeing this also but apart from that its all i need to do in terms of modifications to get going with my new motor.IM going to go ahead with this due to my car being a daily driver does alot of kms and i tavel far for work every day.Im getting on to the 300,000 km mark now the engine is fine as have had it since almost new my car. however its smokes a bit on take off which im aware its the valve stem seals and also leaks a bit from the rear main so i was told ...however its always spotless my motor and to look at which some boys on here can tell u (tufftr) it looks brand new!!!as clean it like a mad man all the time coz of the oil issue....So what im asking is anyone on here done thi? as am wanting a good job done and the right way coz love my car alot ..like u all do im sure!!!some info on this would be great
thanks alot Troy

I have done over 20 of these including several E and F series cars, I have 3 customers with KF running the motor
Only difference for you is you will also need to do the ECU as the 3.0 ECU will not cope with the motor, a KF ECu will work fine, 2 of the KF's have still got the KF ECU with no issues
You will also need a few other parts to make this work such as intermediate drive shaft and a few other odds and sods. The motor will need several things done is much more than just a manifold to change over.
If you want a good job done, get it done by someone who has done it many times.....

Would recommend Madmagna. I have heard nothing but good about his work.

Having known all about how much of a pain it is to do 380 motor conversions (multiple times...), just go to MadMagna. He knows his stuff, his prices are decent and does a good job.

I am looking at doing the same when/if i eventually blow up my current 6G74 motor up. Would love to have a 380 engine roar under the bonnet :D I have had quotes from mal which are more than reasonable for the quality of work that gets done.
