Hey guys,

so with my sunroof, when in the closed position, it sits perfectly fine but I am able to put my hand on the back of the glass from the inside and it has a lot of play in it. I'm able to push the entire sunroof panel up about 5mm which isn't much, but when I'm driving over bumps the damn thing rattles and its annoying.

I've adjusted it and made sure its all tight, but I'm still able to move it... I can't push it down, just up from the inside. The creaking noises it makes when on rough road is terrible. Any ideas?

Cheers.

Have you tested if it is watertight? That could be a problem

I can push mine up from the inside as well, the seal moves. Mine doesn't rattle at all however, maybe it is the plastic trims are not fastened correctly. It could also be some adjustment required in the sunroof tracks, or motor.

I redid my roof lining, and made sure all the bolts for the sunroof assembly were tights again and I had a little less noise after that.

Well I have located the problem! Where the metal and glass part was rusting because water would seep in between the glass and rubber (not the rubber and roof). I got all the rust off which was where the bolt that holds it in the assembly is and repaired it all. Doesn't make a noise now!
