Heys Guys
First post, I'm looking at purchasing a ralliart. Just out of interest how much would a 10-20kw (engine) gain be?
I've tried finding relevant threads, however none answered my question.
Would appreciate any info regarding, what the modifications required would be and where would i look for these?
Cheers

Not sure how cheap that would be, already runs the free flowing exhaust with mild head tuning.
Could just slot the 380 motor in it though :)

For that out of a ralliart you will need a cam and tune. headwork would also help but is expensive.
Why 10-20kw? Is there something particular your expecting to get out of the slight power gain?

First off, I aint no expert... :flamesuit:
All the regular best value per KW Magna mods i.e. Cams, Headers, More aggressive tune, straight through exhaust - the Ralliart has them all....About the only thing missing is a free-er flowing cat.
Why 10-20kw? Is there something particular your expecting to get out of the slight power gain?
As above, If I was given the project, I'd be more concerned about getting the power down, refreshing 10 y.o. suspension, (renewing the Koni's/coilovers) and a great set of tyres would help its times/road behaviour better than a few measly KW.
Good oils, new plugs, a lead inspection, paper filters all the stuff you need to return lost factory KW's.
But in an attempt to answer your question, *and quite possibly be entirely and utterly wrong*....
And because just about every other cheaper cost per extra KW mod has been done, I'd be looking at a Full 3" Mandrel Exhaust, but I wouldn't expect more the 2-5 KW out of that.... @ 500 - 800 (guess) thats a $100 per extra KW at best.....
I reckon a trip to the SKR dyno would be on the cards, (with a tank full of 98 Ron) about the only other option to buy Kw for under $100.00 ea. lol....
I'm a cheap bastich, I rate power mods on the Cost/Kw scale. So for the best way to I reckon to get anywhere near 10 extra KW, Cat, SKR Tune, Mandrel exhaust...But not in that fitting order. SKR last...

Kw = $$. Best bang for buck is a 3.8

100cpi cat would be useful for a couple. An skr tune to 98 octane would also be good.

Then you may as well get a vrx or gtvi, and add an LSD, if you're going to put up with that low splitter, and the vision limiting spoiler, I'd prefer a pure ralliart, but thats just me.
VR manuals can put down over 150 fwkw with cats, cams, and some Skr loving.

as for the specific power figures, I thought it may be reaslistic to gain 10-20kw without serious money- some cars are quite susceptible in gaining power.. other not so much. Would like to see where the ralliart engine sits. also the only other car im interesting that sits almost exactly on power to weight is the aurion (which im also looking at)...
a bit of justification.
When you say cams, whats cams would they be, or would i need to regrind the originals?
and a tune, who would i speak to for that?
also i no the 380 is obviously has higher capacity, but is it really that more susceptible with a 0.3L increase???
so the ralliart doesnt seem to have any stand out weaknesses....
they were pretty well built from factory and everything seems to work together nicely, and there isn't a huge availability of aftermarket parts out there for these cars.
The ralliarts already have a bit of head work, mild cam, valve springs and slightly higher compression ratio over a standard 3.5 and still run without problems on 91 fuel from factory. Also, lsd for manuals.
If you're trying to match power to the Aurion you're looking at you need not bother, a decent Ralliart will run away from an Aurion without changing anything.

Ralliart motors are quite good when standard, as above.
VRX with a 380 motor fitted would be good (LSD would add $2000-2500 though, which is a bit of a necessity if you want anywhere near decent traction).
Best option is buy Norby's car I reckon!!!
190kw atw better enough than 175 at the fly?

Aurion vs ralliart id say be dead even my parents own an aurion the thing flys.

190 Kw@wheels would be about 220-230Kw at fly.
