Hey guys,

Just got failed on my blueslip for my parabolic headlights...apparently the parkers weren't bright enough. Looked at how they were installed. DODGEY AS!

Basically the parker was just chucked behind the eye and little to no light shun up into the eye.

Now the wiring was also very "ad-hoc" was just done with terminals and whatnot off the original plug.

Now i guess my question is. Where do i put the parker light? I can't see anywhere to mount it..

Also, Where might i be able to get the correct wiring harness etc?

because veradas have parkers in the bumper

Sounds like you have had the once piece installed and not the 2 piece. One piece are from the verada like above and are located in the bumper.

Best bet is to get the wiring from the standard lights and dill into the casing and mount it in a similar fashion to standard headlights.

not entirely true- both one and two piece parabolic headlights were available on TJ (series one, MY02 and series two) VR-X's or Sports. TJ1's and MY02's had two-piece para's and TJ2's had the one piece. KE-KJ MY02 had two-piece para's and KJ2's had the one piece para's and they'd have to be modified to work on the Magna's.. unfortunately Toxicity, it does sound like you've got a set from a Verada, which means you'll have to do the mod..

Negative. My one-pieces (which are awesome, by the way) have parkers built into the low beam parabolic dish (outer dish).

Options:
a) get your hands on parra's which have parkers in them
b) get a verada bumper as suggested
c) get the drill set out and make your own, fully legit parkers

Get technical boys :P so, I would suggest doing the mod. Its pretty simple and just get yourself a small open grommet from supercheap or autobarn

HANGON, could i....technically...dodgey up the wiring at all so that the parkers are run off the standard headlamp globe? or is this an absolutely terrible idea? haha. I am still leaning towards teh Rada bumper...not sure how it'd look though..hmm

I'd avoid that idea as parkers have to be on with the headlights.

I am pretty intrigued to see how it'd turn out...i need to double check both paint codes first though...theres one at my local wrecker at the moment. Will my foglamps from the original bumper fit into the rada bumper?

No, but if your buying the bumper, complete with the REO bar and all brackets on the inside they will fit into that =)

Another suggestion is, why dont ya retro fit parkers? I think ya can get the globe holders out of second gen paras then its a matter of fitting them?

Yeah we went over that. I dont think he wants to do that by the sounds of things

So i went for the Rada bumper way :D Picked it up dirt cheap, 100 bucks for the bar, reinforcement, all lights and the fog lamps! Bargain! What is the part number of the original headlamp plug to the parabolic plug from mits? :)

Any chance someone can post up a pic of the back of their parabolics and their wiring at all? i'm still curious how this kind of works..i don't see how the globe holder goes in either (don't have the holder as of yet though)

It's not hard at all. Cut the solid red wire. the bit that is coming out of the back of the connector, ground to the chassis. Enjoy fully sick parras.

Oh no i understand the wiring. Just don't get how the globe holders go in and wanted the pic of them in or something is all. And how someone else has done the wiring may as well find out that too because the more checking i do the less likely i am to **** it up lol

Well ,no one or two piece has that big wheel adjustment thingy like your pictures have ,and the lens doesn't even have the right shape for a H1 or H7 globe to fit into.

I went with the Verada front bumper as well as JDM para's not by choice however!
