I've just been quoted $480 fitted for a redback 2.5" "sports" cat back system for my tf.
does this seem fair? Its been a while since I've had a replacement, not too sure.
Opinions welcome!
Irrelevant but cool, saved heaps on a replacement hi Flo cat... <3 eBay!

I would steer clear of redback. IMHO lukey and magnaflow are better options. I got quoted $280 fitted for a lukey unit at carline
$480 sounds fair for supply and fitment.

I've had the same redback system fitted to mine for a couple of years now and it's still in great condition. I ended up taking off the rear bolt on section and put a lukey bolt on muffler in its place because it was smaller and louder :)
The redback system gives it a nice low note but isn't very loud at high revs.

Seems reasonable. I was quoted $490 fitted for a factory fitment catback + somethingorother muffler to replace my rusted out factory unit :( It was another $100 for a Magnaflow rear muffler, which I went with.

Seems pretty good for supply and fitting honestly. But I'd be more inclined to get a custom system made with a lukey rear muffler or something of the sorts. Though the redback systems do have a 2 year? warranty. So ultimately your choice. Mine is a custom exhaust and it sounds mad. A bit too much drone though

Take it and if u want it louder just get the middle pipe installed and a smaller muffler popped on the end.

i run the 2.5" redback cat back exhaust in my tj sports which i got of ebay for $355 an fitted myself. The ebay exhaust suits the 3.0. The 3.5 tj (and prob 3.5 th) runs a longer cat so i changed to a shorter tf cat so the exhaust would bolt up correctly without being modified. $480 from a shop seems reasonable. The exhaust sounds good but looks like a stock exhaust from the back "no bling"
