Sorry guys,
I don't need one for either veradas at the moment (touching wood here), but for fun I just rang up and got a quote to have someone supply and fit a reco 5 speed.
$3300, plus other hard parts whatever that means.
Now I understand when they go they go, but ffs is that right.
Now I am paranoid, that's more than half the car cost, surely it's wrong?
Reco. $$$$$$$
If it dies, your best bet is to buy a written off magna/rada, take jts box, and hope it isn't a lemon... like I did :)

Ummm, that is why you should call me in the first place as I can do a used or a refurb a lot cheaper than that all up lol
Depending on what model your car is as the L and W series are a little more, the cost for a used trans is $950.00 and a refurb (a good one that has been dismantled, cleaned, new wave spring, seals etc etc) is $1750 plus fitting then.

Mal if I needed a new auto box it would be cheaper for me to take a week off work, drive down, shack up in a 5 star hotel for a couple of days, (room service included) and drive back up :D. No brainer. Works out to be a free holiday.
