After a bit of research ive found it is possible to fit a sigma turbo on a magna. Does anyone know of this.
Same engine, why not? Its just that if you take the turbo off a RWD sigma you have to have some extra plumbing made because the magnas engines transverse right?

right
your better off getting a sigma intake for dual SU's (carbi's) and going the NA way if you ask me. Unless you want to fully rebuild the engine

My understanding on this is that either the head or the manifold has to be modified to make it fit, im pretty sure the studs on the exhaust manifold dont quite line u

How easy is it to fit a twin carbie from a sigma on a magna and would there be much difference?

twin carbi would be easy as hell i reckon. im fairly sure the manifold studs all line up too! with a cam and flown head and exhaust you would be looking at about 150kw at the fly my guess.

So with just the carbi mod there would be a power difference. What year sigma would i need. Or is just any that have the astron 2 in them. Do you know of anyone who has done this.

I have a carby TR (astron 2) so if you guys can recommend anything worthwhile and good value for money I would be interested.

i'd like to turbo eventually, low boost settings of course, not with the intention of beatin 180s and s13s and the like, but to learn how. fair bit i have to learn in teh mean time, as well as having to work and pay for it.

hehe, buggers arent they :P sicne i'm half jap i got relies in japan and i could always buy one there, but bringing one back would be a ***** :doubt:
and so for now the magna will be fine as my weekend car...turbo end of next year? maybe, or a cheap import. come to think of it, i'm going back to japan end of next year for a month or two. decisions decsions! well not really, just something to think about instaed of uni :D

I can beat Ferraris and Skylines too when they have the red light :D Or I just drive past them 20km/h over the speed limit and smile at them :D Getting overtaken by a $4000 Magna that does 0 -100km/h in 12 seconds is great for their ego lol

Inlet Manifold for Twin DCOE Webers (http://www.holleycarbs.com.au/redline_hi_winder.html)
i dont know how much this helps but its something to think about. mainly this part:
Inlet manifold to suit 4 cylinder engines
12-3206 Mitsubishi Sigma, Galant, Scorpion, Colt Starion, Pajero, Triton ute, 1850 - 2600cc Astron engine. MKI, MKII, MKIII
2 x DCOE Webers
42-2706
16-45
oh yeah and i don't think the turbo manifold/twin carb inlet manifold etc fits directly to the magas. there has to be some modding done to get it to fit. this is all i know sorry...

Ive been seriously considering turboing my engine, so im basically on the hunt for a sigma turbo engine and pulling the turbo and some other **** out of it.
I have also considered getting a SR20DE engine out of a pulsar and turboing it.

Awesome. I may go down this track as well depending on the costs vs benefits. If you find out any more info as far as parts and costs etc, let me know.
