Hey gang,
Just helping out my sister in law with her TJ Series 2 Exec power window. I pulled door apart, seems the circular bit that houses all the steel cable is frayed and knackered there. I presume I need to remove the two bolts up top, the 3 holding hte reg and hte two at the bottom to remove that entire peice. Do you separated the glass first, ie unbolt that and remove? Guessing thats a yes.
Also, I'll head out to u pull it, can a different model go in, ie TL, TW?
Or does it have to be purely TJ?
Anything else I should know regarding this job?
Thanks peeps!

you will be lucky enough to find a TJ let alone a TL/TW at u-pull-it.
I may be wrong ,but i don't reckon the window mechanisms would have changed much over the years,so get what you need to replace and it should be fine .
I was at U-Pull-it-North the other day and there were a few power window Magna's there.

Hey gang, thanks for the replies. I'll try my luck at u-pull it. Might even ring Mitsi to get idea of a new one and its price.
Just took some photos yesterday too. I presume per the photos you remove the top 2 bolts, the 3 bolts around the regulator and of course the two bolts at the bottom and then the (what appears to be 2 bolts) holding up the glass and it should all fall out.
The top 2 bolts
