Just thought id post this out for a friend of mine, if anyone is after any custom work/parts for their car my mate runs a business from here in South Australia. This is his new website
http://coinslot.com.au/?p=496
I personally was running a set of stage 1 or 2 Stinger RCA's in my Magna when I was running a two way front stage, and I was getting engine noise that increased with RPM, I then got Coinslot to make me some of his RCA's (mine are actually the ones in the pic below) and the noise was gone, simple as that. Now im not going to say it'll fix everyone's issues but if you are after some quality gear this is the place to go. Also with SQ quality cable, techflex shielding and cast iron gold plated plugs they are very durable.

He does alot of car audio installs, he has helped me in the past with a couple installs of mine, if I want some custom connectors done for quick disconnects in the car, this is who I go to.
Now he hasn't asked me to post this up, but I figured I would put this out there so if anyone has any questions either shoot Coinslot an email or pm me and I can point you in the right direction.

When you're looking for the advantage over everyone and you want your gear to to get the best signal/power possible, Try These (http://www.monstercable.com/mpc/product_pages/400_interconnects.asp?section=four) Pea, with all the research and tech in these, nothing else comes close for the money. They do have 300 US patents in the Cable industry, yes I recommend them. I'd expect the custom made cables would be equivalent to the 200 series. But its the time correct stuff that I opted for....
I know my system is absolutely noise free.....
But I agree with the stinger pro, I was shown a pair of these and and was told they were the best you could get, I reserved my comments....
I went the 400 for the woofer (http://www.monstercable.com/mpc/images_pie/Car_i402XLN_XT_SW.jpg)and 300 series for the splits...

What does a 6m Length of the Monster cables sell for? As far as I was concerned about the Monster stuff is that its too over priced for what it is but I could be corrected.
At the end of the day I don't need something too over the top, I wouldn't say that my RCA's are the limiting factor hence why I opted for some locally made ones.
Edit: Forgot to mentioned these have been done in group buys over on MEA, he started with a first set with smaller connectors but as its gone on he has been able to source better quality product. On the 2nd page you can see the plug he started with but now hes moved up to the very sexy new plugs.
Heres a link to one of the group buys.

Well, as for the overpriced, you would have paid $30.00 bucks for the Stinger, and that didnt do as you expected, The monster is $55 US. for the 300 and 40.00 for the 200 series....
And how much frustration did that little bit of noise cost you?
At least you're half way there, you have worked out, beside what people say, that cables aren't cables. And you didn't even opt for cheap ones to begin with.
Tell me are the Adel made cables directional. thats one thing you'll find with the monster, at a certain level, they will be directional, the sheilding will then be earthed at the source return wire, continuing to absorb interferance.
I recommended some to a guy with a HT Sub, he had noise, for 5 years....... he had his sub checked 3 times, and had his reciever out twice, to the repairer and all his gear was fine, he fitted the directional cable, and hey presto, no more noise. 5 years of frustration....

Ok I am corrected those Monster Cables are alot cheaper than I thought they would be too be honest. To be honest im not too sure about whether they are directional it would be something that I would need to speak to him about
Heres a couple of quotes of what ive pinched from MEA members who have swapped some of theirs out for these SA made ones.
Well worth the outlay. I have replaced my 3 runs to my Bit 1 and from there to my amps with BVs RCAs and no issues whatsoever. They are better soundwise, much "fuller" sound than the rather more expensive Stinger ones I replaced. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend these to any of you.
I just received a second hand pair from a member in this forum for trial, comparing it to my Directed Platinum (I think that's what it is) RCA to see if there's improvement by using Big_Valven RCA.
I'm very happy with the results, and I don't know how to put it to words other than it sounded full and balanced. I was listening to Simply Red 'Money's too tight to mention' and I immediately hear the bass sounds thicker during the opening of the song. And when the vocal starts, previously the bass just seems to dissapear like not having the same impact it has during the opening of the song. But now the bass remains and the vocal is just nice. There's seems to be a good control of the tone to it, it just sounds balanced and full.
If RCA is to provides good clean faithful to recording signal, then I have to say this RCA is it I guess.
To the very least, my sound system does sounded better using Big_Valven RCA than using my Directed RCA, and that's all that matters.
100 percent. I'm loving mine, listening to the Eagles now. Yee haw!
I can personally vouch for these cables, the custom loom in my car that is 4RCA's into 6RCA's by big Valven is a prized item :good:
SO MUCH WINN^^^
I also can vouch for BIG V's work, i run his custom made RCA's, they got rid of my system noise and havent had a problem since :good:
an epic improvement is what you shall expect.
i'm tempted to scrap my own made rca's and get 2 sets of these...
All in all not a single bad review and he offered this to members in the group buy for no profit at all really.
Keeping in mind he can also do 6 runs in one sleeve, he can split ends, do anything with these really.
So keep it in mind if you need anything custom for your car or home audio.

Hey I'm all for a discussion on interconnects, I have been to quite a few training sessions on them, to say the least. Bit I'd be a bit concerned about a few things before giving a mate a shameless plus, but a few things concern me about no-name cables now, like the actual copper content of what you're getting, and I'd also be interested to know wether they the are silver soldered.
As for those being directional, if they have arrows indicating signal flow the are directional, if they haven't, they aren't...
The thing about the cabling I selected, is that the guys actually make their own cable, and plugs. Its not whats being offered by a chinese company at the time, which, is probably what you have again, just built with more love. But no Patented Tech.
But as long as they aren't too dear, are well supported/warranted. Go hard. I could well imagine any-one who's bought off the shelf cables in Oz ( coz we have a shite range) being impressed. Thats not hard, but I don't think I would take the plunge.
You'll note I added US listings for the cables I linked, they are stupid dear in Australia, (Agency ran) and the local Distributor, IMO, has their head so far up the own arse, each time he smiles he gets his own pubic hair in his teeth...lol
Mind you, my cabling bill total came close to $400.00, seems like a lot, but thats only 10% of the hardware costs anyway....
But I haven't had to throw anyaway coz it didn't do what I expected.

Oh, did you have any drama's plugging those RCA's in, those plugs look way long, while I can't speak of the ealier magnas, they'd be a pain to fit in a good flushed/recessed fit in a TL/TW. Actually, is there anyone else who's fit a stereo in a magna thats not sitting proud?

I appreciate the discussion aswell Shoot and I will be the first to say that im not entirely savy about the real technical aspects of interconnects, if I was there when he made them these I could probably answer all your questions.
As for off shelf cables in Aus, tell me about it, but alot of those replies are from guys who are interstate in Vic and the good thing about that is thats where the MEASQ comps are the largest and they don't take it lightly enough to just get any cables off the shelves, probably like you and myself in regards to that.
As for fitting I had no issues what so ever, the plugs had no dramas fitting in my TE dash, it was probably even easier with longer plugs, unfortunately I dont know of any other Magna using these, but that's because its not a real popular car for a SQ orientated install.
Whether there is still question or not about the RCA's anyone else interested can always contact Coinslot and have a chat to Callum about them he would be more than happy to oblige but I can honestly said they are Solid, they are very impressive, depending on your install and car you may hear a massive gain (like myself) or have gains that are not too audible at all.
However trying not to side track too much from the point he does some great custom work for anyone interested, cables have already been mentioned, he can make Podiums for SPL cars, he installs car audio and can do extremely impressive stuff that I can only envy. Once again not trying to plug so much as just let people know if they are after anything that he could possibly help them with I highly recommend it.
