Hey guys. One of the screws which holds the plastic splash guard under the radiator has disappeared, as such it hangs down. Now, I'm left with three options. Somehow attach it back up, get a new one + appropriate screws from a wrecker, or just rip it all off. I'm tempted to go straight to the third option. However, I'm concerned that it is there for a good reason. If I remove it, am I exposing cruicial/succeptible components to road conditions? Or if I take it off will all be fine?

It's just going to prematurely wear engine components. You'll be right, but it isn't good practice.
Mine was off for at least six months without damage, until i decided to fix the problem.

It is there to protect the external belts from the elements. Not good practice to remove it as it can cause damage. Just strap it up with some cable ties. It just needs to be there, it doesn't necessarily need to be screwed in.

Yeah. I tried zip-tying it there but it just came undone. I might try to find alternate methods of attaching it.

Yeah Zip tying doesnt last long especially if its warped from rubbing on the ground and whatnot. Heaps easier to find a new undamaged one off a wreck (if possible) and go to an auto store to get the proper pop in screw plastic things (noooooooo idea what theyre called)

I hate it. I have mine zip tied on and it has lasted but god knows for how long. Might get around to replacing it eventually
