Hi guys i'm trying to wire up my new fusion head unit, and wondering if any one knew what color wire the electric aria, dimmer/lamination are, because the person who owned the car before me has chopped the wires and i cant seem to work it out because some wiring diagrams say the aria cable is pink but i cant find it anywhere.

help please!

where it says power antenna on and light dimmer there is no color would you know by any chance what color they are?

Light Dimmer wont be conected to any new head unit, most wont be compatible with that function as it is disigned mostly for a factory HU.

Your best bet is to grab a multimeter and measure which wire gets +12v when you hit the lights. IIRC it's orange.

I think blue from the headunit (in my Clarion case it was) is 12v when radio mode is on, or when the unit is on. Once again, your best bet is to use a multimeter.

Remember the pink wire is from your headunit, not in the car loom. The HU sends 12v down the ant/amp turn on wire (some HU's this is how they do it, and your ant is up all the time)

Not neccessarily, my first headunit (JVC single din el cheapo) and my current one (Clarion DD sick lad HU) have a dimmer wire.

If you absolutely need the dimmer functionality but can't find the original wire in the loom (and you're certain the HU supports dimming) tap a illumination bulb wire positive (neg won't do anything)

Thank you guys i decided not to bother with the lamination this time round, but when i hook up a sub i will look further in to it.

Cause an Electric Aria award just seems pointless. And i cant see why you would need your stereo Laminated?

Trust me if I didn't work 9 - 5:30, I'd be pulling that. Midday drinking is a problem for 50 y/o me to worry about.
