Couple of things I spotted at the wreckers today but didn't the have time to acquire, so before I go back after them I want to know the right way to go about it. How do you go about dismantling the chromatic mirror? Does it slide or clip off? Then do I need to pull down the roof lining and unplug or cut some wires? Visors with the vanity lights; just unscrew them at the roof then again pull down the roof lining and unplug/cut the wiring? Keep in mind this will be for a TJ2. And the (chrome) plate surrounding the gear stick; does it just unclip and come straight out (after removing the gear stick knob first)? And would the black plastic bit (that moves with the gear stick when changing gears) come out with it?

Apologies for being so pedantic, I want to know exactly what to do/expect or I won't back myself to do it

Anyone able to confirm or clarify if I have it right?

Well I got most of the stuff I wanted. Now is it just plug and play for this stuff in a TJ? I got the loom for the mirror and visors, would this just plug into the same spot it came out of in the Verada? And before I go and take the airbag off, will there already be a plug for steering wheel controls? Any help would be appreciated

chromatic mirror I think sparky knows which wires go to where if a search doesn't find it, and if you unplug airbags etc, be careful, and disconnect the battery first, reconect it last.

The mirror and visor loom 'should' plug in, but it is dependant on your instrument loom as I recall (after installing climate and everything else in another car) However, if it doesn't work (I think the only problem will come by the external mirror connection to the dimming), you can very simply rejig the wiring.

The steering wheel controls will not be present. you will need the wheel shroud, the remote, the bracket, the clock spring, and the wiring going to the HU. Some Verada's already have the wiring from the HU to the column, but none will have the clock spring unless it is factory installed with the remote.

Thanks for the replies, might just wait til I see Mal to put the mirror on as I'll probably damage the windscreen
