g'day gringos,

i recently bought a 91 magna and now im getting problems with the tail lights. the stop lights work fine so i guess the only real problem comes with driving at night. it keeps blowing 15 amp fuses, and i mean the fuse blowing within 3 seconds of turning the lights on. i've tried putting in 20 amp fuses, and the same thing happens. i've checked out the tail lights and i can't locate any shorts, so i was wonderin if someone knew what the go was.

Cheers cobbers.

Sounds like there is definitely a short somewhere. It could be anywhere! - in the switch, the cable running to the back of the car, the lights themselves.

Do your headlights work? Have you performed any sort of work on the car recently? Maybe a stereo install? If so, check that you have not pinched any other wires.

Warning!

NEVER! replace a fuse with one of a higher rating...the different circuits in a car are fused at different levels depending on load and wire thickness....replacing fuses with a higher rating can cause shorts and in some cases cause an electrical fire...
