Hey Guys,

Heading off to Mt Hotham in June for a week. Just wondering what precautions I need to take for my 380? I will be getting snow chains. Will there be any issues with fitting chains to 18inch alloys and having lowered suspension? Do I need to change the grade of oil? Anything else I need to take note of?

Thanks for your help :)

Cheers

I took mine down to The Snowy Mountains back in '09. Had it serviced at Mitsu the week before told them I was going to the snow and asked them the same questions an they said "your car is fine as it is just put petrol, enjoy the drive!"

They were right, didn't need chains no anti freeze additives or anything, I just put fuel and that was it. Car didn't skip a beat. Having said that the roads were cleared of a morning and didn't have any troubles at all. Stock GT wheels were on at the time. Temps didn't get much lower then -5.

I went to the snow last year and the 380 handles better than any two wheel drive car i had ever taken to the snow.

you just cant lock the front wheels up like RWD cars so always got steering.
