Hi guys,
I have a TE magna automatic......sometimes(it is erratic) when it changes from 2nd. to 3rd.(about 28kph) it kicks just like a learner doing a bad gear change in a manual.. I took it to a transmission expert who told me it needs a tune, done that..no difference.....any ideas

Whats the diagnosis from the trans expert they should have some idea at least!! If not they are not worth going too.
Might be pressure adjustment needed amongst many other possibilities. Vee

Trans expert reckoned it wasn't the tran that was the problem...it is sporadic so he may have missed it

Shift patterns might be out of whack.. have you recently disconnected or had a flat battery?
Try the following relearning procedure:

yeah mine was doing the same thing from 2 to 3 when i disconnect battery, you will have to retrain tranny.
