TE 4cyl, occasionally when it kicks back it is then reluctant to change back up a gear again & will drive along under no load or even on trailing throttle without changing gear again.

Thoughts/tips? Is there somewhere to adjust the shift at all?

Are you talking about 4th gear, going back to 3rd and then reluctant to go back into 4th? This can be normal depending on the speed you're on. If its around 60km/h or under then you'll find this can happen on flat or slight uphill surfaces. Not too sure about the 4cyl, but the TE V6 trans should never go into 4th under 50km/h, it will always change back to 3rd if you slow down to this speed, and sometimes stays there longer if you slightly increase speed to prevent constant changing.

I notice it around town, so I assume mostly 3rd to 2nd, staying in 2nd for a while.

Depending on speed it may hang around, particularly around the 30km/h mark, it may stay in 2nd until 40.. this would be normal. If it stays in 2nd over 40 with little or no throttle then that doesn't seem right.
