Talk to Mal at Mitsfix. He has the right parts for much cheaper than that. He is an admin here and Mitsfix has an eBay store.

" is the ebay timing kit any good?"
Depends on the brand. If bits are missing or you have problems with it later, warranty is not available. And you would still need to find a mechanic to fit it all.
Less hassle to let Mitsu supply and fit.
Mitsfix apparently carries proven parts and at half factory price plus has the experience and savvy not to sell rubbish, so if I was after a kit, that would be where I'd go. I'd also imagine that he will guarantee whatever he sells and has a reputation to uphold. I wouldn't let Mitsubishi supply and fit the kit unless I had $1000 - $1500 to spare.....do it yourself at a quarter the cost.

Several ways to do this:
(1) Buy a kit off the Web (eBay, Mitsfix, etc) and install it yourself. Maximum hassle, minimum cost.
(2) Buy the kit off the Web and find a mechanic to install it. Less hassle, more costly.
(3) Take car to Mitsfix and get him to supply and install. Address is on his web site. Involves a bit of a drive though.
(4) Take the car to Mitsu, and get them to supply parts and install. Minimum hassle, maximum cost.
Your call.

$142.50 for a kit with belt seals and pulleys. Seals and pulleys same brand as Mitsubishi use
I have also found finally a reputable supplier for pre tensioners and can add to the kit to bring to total cost of 264.00 plus freight of course. Pre tensioner is made in same factory as genuine one

For the sake of prudency, how much for the water pump on top of that mal? So the belt kit, pulleys, tensioner and water pump.
Op, the water pump is a good job to do when the belt is being done. While everything is out.
