View Full Version : Toyo Teo Tyres
Hi, someone here, i think it was mad lante, or 3lante, someone with an elante anyways bought a set of toyo teo tyres, I havent got them yet (damn lack of money) but im still considering them, and seeing as you've had them for a while, i was wondering if you coulda give me a little bit of a review?
Just wondering hows the road noise? they are supposed to be real quiet, also tyre grip and wear etc etc
thanks

that would have been me, ive got the Toyo Transas TEO's, ive had them on the car now for over 7months and to 2day to the day i got them they have hardly worn at all i would say maybe 2-3mm so as for wear there GREAT!,
road noise?- well i didnt really notice a change at all if there was it might have been really small but i only think they put air not nitrogen which ive heard makes a big difference,
they seem to make a funny noise when pushed around corners they also tend to roll over alot bit this might be like this cos i havent checked pressure for a while, but the sound when pushed around corners is only a slight gravly type of noise nothing to loud
but i know they dont sqeak or squal like thos cheapo tires when going around corners either.
as for the tire grip, in the wet its amazing. as much as ive tryed it wont spin v well at all in the wet but theyve never sliped, in the dry there not to bad. but in the wet i was so surpised how much they grip
the only thing is i wish i went for a wider tire as i only got 195s :doubt:
and there also not cheap at $138 each but its defently worth the extra money for sure! but im sure u could push the price down i managed to get all round for $125 each but there rrp is $138
hope that helps :)
Alright, thanks mad lante, i was just wondering where my guinea pig got to lol
They sound pretty good, i was thinking of getting the 205's myself.
thanks alot mate
Yeah i was gonna get those but my friend hooked me up with a set of bridgestone G-grids and my folkes had those on their cressida and i could only make that slide by being completely stupid and doing 80 around a round about or something, purposely trying to make it slide, i got 195's on my car of those @ 70$ ea, including trade in on one of my tyres cause it was still good, they make a very weird noise, we all heard it on a cruise we went on, i could hear the chatter on the UHF's everyone going "whos car is making that noise??" and it was me, they squeel a fair bit, it gets annoying but then it gets fun cause i try and make the *****es scream. still a very decent tyre.
