Hey guys, apologies if this has been posted before or is common knowledge but I have noticeably improved response on my V6 cutting the intake snorkel to increase the size of the opening that goes to the airbox. If you look at it stock from front on the bottom half is blocked. I also cut a small hole in the cavern directly below that sits above the hole in the chassis to feed a bit more air in. Tools required: Tin snips/dremel/stanley knife.
Going by seat of the pants there's more power and better breathing ability at high revs. One slight drawback but has not affected driveability is that when coming to a stop, revs dip down a bit more than usual - before going back up to normal idle.
Cheers!

would also like some pics to see what you have done
When I had my KS Xi, I extended the snorkle with a flexi hose all the way down to the bumper. Cut two holes either side and attached to hose to the right hole. There is a plastic cover behind the right headlight which can be removed the the hole carefully enlarged to feed the hose to the bumper.
See this post for pics (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11069&p=145561&viewfull=1#post145561).

I assume you have the 4cyl with the smaller intake size, if oyu have the V6 you are not going to get more power
It also scares me to think you have cut up some of hte body work, hopefully is only plastic work you ahve cut up. The plastic panel between the rad support and grille is there for a reason if this is what you have cut up. Has been proven many times on these forums as well as many other places that intake mods on a Magna do SFA as the Magna was a good design to start with
