(I can't find it if there is??)
As the Title says...

My Wife's car has developed a miss in it, especially under load, and I suspect Leads and/or plugs.
So, going to have a crack at it this weekend, and replace them all.

Cheers

Disconnect everything, undo the bolts, easy as. Take your time and look where everything goes before you rip into it.

And cover up anywhere that things can go missing in...

Haha.... Thanks Guys.. Pretty much what I was going to do... Doesn't seem to be that hard, just time consuming... I guessing about an hour?
Anything special tool that I will need, apart from a Socket Set, Screwdrivers etc?

Also, are the Leads that hard to get?? I've rang a couple places, SCA, Repco etc. and no-one has any in stock..

Cheers

No special tools needed (10mm & 12mm sockets and spanners, phillips and flat blade screwdrivers, needle-nose pliers, IIRC)
I bought my leads from Repco, off the shelf (I'm pretty sure the Top-Gun part number is TG6129), for about $100.

I've just replaced both rocker cover gaskets, so I can tell you straight off that it will take much more than an hour to do just the rear plugs properly, and it's not exactly a simple job - I've been fixing cars for over 55 years and this would be one of the worst rocker cover gasket changes that I've done. Removing the plenum cover to access the rear plugs will take at least one hour, possibly 2 if you are extra careful, then you need to pull the leads and plugs and clean it all up before another hour putting it back together. There are short cuts like not removing the throttle body or aircleaner assembly but I found that by doing this it was very easy to place undue strain on some of the wires to sensors. Take a pic of where the vacuum hoses go too...and the engine complete just to help in reassembly. Vacuum hoses will probably be stuck on. Torque the plenum down - 15nm for the bolts and 30nm for the nuts either side I think. Watch out for the slim metal gasket where the EGR meets the plenum - it will drop and disappear! Disconnect the battery also. You'll lose coolant as well so remember to top that up. Professional mechanics can probably do this job in a fraction of the time that us amateurs take. Have fun and hope it goes well.

Hako is spot on! The first time I did it - I took well over 2 hours to just remove the plenum. I then had to replace the back spark plugs and rocker rocker cover and then put it back together again. Quite the job indeed. I'd set aside at least 3-4 hours to do it.

I need to replace my back rocker gasket soon as its leaking oil again so I'll make and post up a video.

Ended up doing it last weekend.... Me and a Mate.... Took us about 1 hour from start to finish.... And that was all 6 plugs and Leads... The rear plugs were the issue with the miss..... There was nothing left of the Plugs.
Just the Ceramic, no Electrode protruding at all. Service book shows it was done at 94,000.. (Now has 145,xxx).
All running nice and smooth now.. :)

With leads I only use genuine, they are only about 20 bucks more than aftermarket and generally last a lot longer
