Does anyone know if there is a specific fuse for the overhead (cabin) light as I have no power to the unit and light will not come on either automatically or manually.
The red door ajar light on the dash is working.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Mine does the same thing, well is doing it atm
Have you tired replacing the globe?
I think its more a connection issue on the light fitting itself then a fuse one
Take the cap off and wiggle the light around
Saying that I think the fuse for the light is in the engine bay in the yellow box

Thanks Mr_Roberto....I've checked the actual unit with a multimeter and there is no 12V at the unit plus the bulb has been tested off the car.....fuse in engine compartment also supplies central locking etc which all work so it is not that fuse.
In the morning I'll check the footwell fuse box as I think there is the cabin roof wiring connector (top RH plug from wiring diagram) - see if there is 12V there.
Only clues I can give is that yesterday I degreased the engine and a week ago I moved the cabling just below the inside fuse box just a little bit. Not 100% sure when they stopped working.

mine died then worked intermittently then died again too... I can't seem to get the cover off with my fat fingers though. Hope the previous owner didn't break it and superglue it.

Try checking the connector at the interior fuse box? It's just above the drivers right foot, top right of the junction block. IIRC it's a black or brown connector with 2 red wires. Switch the light to the on position and wiggle the connectors?

That's the baby I was going to check this morning but got sidetracked changing the rocker cover gaskets......what a horrible job!.....I searched the forum for help on rocker cover gaskets and someone said "all you need is a 10mm spanner and 35 minutes"....what a joke. I reckon at least 6 hours to do the job properly - worst bit is the hardened vacuum hoses and all those hidden bolts etc. The naked engine sure looks beautiful...all cams and valves and....trouble.
Will try when I beat the gasket job. Thanks.
