Just something to keep in mind because I know that whenever I need my manual, its not when in sitting on my computer. It's when I'm in the car. A hard copy, double sided in a fat folder is easily done on my end. I'm sure it will make your life easier. Were not too worried about paper here. Link me!!

I've printed out the third gen manual.
Seeing the information is made up of a large number of linked .pdf files, it takes a long time. Took me a couple of days and quite a few reams of paper, not to mention the ink. lol
In a word, not that easy.
When I do a job on my second or third gen, I look up the details in the manual, print out those pages and take them out to the car. Usually just 2 or 3 pages, outlining the procedure and giving the torque wrench settings. Doesn't matter if they get dirty, I just throw them away after.
Your boss certainly will notice if 10 or 20 reams of paper disappear, and the printer runs out of consumables. lol

I usually print in 5000 page increments. We have an industrial printer so consumables aren't an issue. If you're interested give me a link and postage details and I will start churning them out.

I'd get the boss's permission first.
Sounds like you have no idea what a 5,000 page print run actually costs. A printer that costs nothing to run doesn't exist. Why not ask the boss?
Be a good point for dismissal if he finds out you have been doing private print runs on the quiet.
(Not to mention breaching Copyright laws- I'm surprised no one has mentioned that.)
ok, I'll burn copies for rush and dreggzy too. PM me where to post them to.

Go easy Max. My dad owns a printer/distribution company (advertising industry). I print random stuff all the time. 10,000 pages or so is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I'm going easy, laid back as. lol
As long as the paternal adult knows and understands . . . . lol
Still the copyright problem though, it's been raised in the past. Surprised no moderator has chimed in and said "NO YOU CAN'T." lol

Any mod is most welcome to. If the club says no, I will not be doing it. I value my membership. I think its more likely at this stage for the thread to be moved to mits chat.

well people downloading it in the first place was a copyright issue if you want to get technical about it.
cd or paper it still remains a copyright issue
thou i though it better to ask for a copy than the cash to go to mma and buy a copy .. im sure others who agree mma charge to much for these books thats even if they still sell them or not

Don't think they can be bought off MMAL, workshops haven't used printed manuals for years. They pop up on eBay occasionally though. (CD format)

thought i,ll bump this up see how it,s going with the disc and printing .
lazy timi still hasn't got to a post office.
If I put stiff cardboard cases around them do you think they'll be ok in an envelope and normal postbox?
rules say under 250g, no more than 130mm (cd is 120) x5mm thick

Yeh they will be fine. My parents post large documents daily that are about 15mm thick and about 1kg. Theg pay heigher postage but use the standard box
