If anyone's interested I've made a colour chart/timeline for the TE-TW Magna, including all colours available:

I'm not claiming 100% accuracy - if anyone has any corrections let me know.

Looks good mate!
I'll leave this open here for a little while to see if there's any comments or corrections. Then I'll move it to the DIY/FAQ section for easy reference.
Haha thats awesome!!!

Well, I know for a fact that my TE, TJ, TL, and TW information is 100% accurate. TF-TH may not be 100%, but close. There were only 8 initial colours available when the TE first came out, and they're all listed above.

Riversand was discontinued in DEC'00 and replaced by Kashmir.
I miss Embassy Pearl. It was my favourite colour.

Thanks Mike, will update the chart. It wouldn't have been replaced with Kashmir because that was around before, and at the same time as, Riversand.
I see a 2001 Riversand here? http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/mitsubishi-verada-2001-12210076?silo=Stock&cr=0&eapi=2&vertical=Car&__N=1216 1246 1247 1252 1282 4294766424 4294964597 4294964081&Range=Year:1999,2002
Must be 2000 build?

check your code on the website i posted above it will tell you what the colour is.
My VR-X AWD is Oct. 04 Build in Zen. That's inconsistent with your chart :)
a few months ago i found a site that had (i think) all the colours Mitsu made over the years- it's a two page sheet of the colours. and for those who are interested in other makes and their colours, they've covered them too!

Atlantis Blue was a TS/KS colour. It didn't carry over into the TE.

On the second page, you can see the chart of colours for the TE. No Atlantis Blue.

Correction to your chart - Flame Red was introduced before 2003. It was offered on the TJ in 2002. Also, Starlight wasn't introduced until September 2003, whereas your chart says 2002.

Nice to know that when my car was painted, the colour wasn't yet available! :)
It's a 2003 TL VRX LE, in Fusion - but the paint code on the car is XX - so I am guessing it was probably the first to get this colour... seeing as it was a gift from Mitsubishi to Steven Bradbury after he won a gold medal at the 2002 Olympics... and did some advertising for them :)
The paint shop people didn't like trying to colour match it a while ago when I needed to get a side skirt and front spoiler resprayed... :D

XX is a paint code for Mitsu experimental colours. Paint Trial cars.
Most of the speacial colours were trialed on VRX models. I know of several different Harlequin cars, (in different colour matches) for example.

Well you had better consult with Mitsubishi then as this is where this chart came from .....

Perhaps slightly edit the chart so that metallic paints are identified (Kashmir, etc)? Maybe a pattern or slight dots or something.

It goes without saying that the way the colours appear on screen will vary greatly depending on the type of monitor you're using. I created the chart using a PVA panel, so viewing it on a TN or IPS LCD will show very different looking colours. Right now I'm looking at it on my laptop and it looks awful.
