Try as i have ,and trawled through may a posts ,but , l haven't been able to find a detailed explanation of ...
"How to actually remove the battery from the remote"
I can see there a three tabs ,already broke one off trying to lever it a bit...so how the f does it come out.
After very simply replacing the batteries in my 380 remotes ,the Magna ones have me stumped ,and i have three of the buggers i want to change.
Thanks
This "how to" from the DIY section should help. You need to un-solder the connections and take your time as it is a bit hard for anyone not familiar with basic electronics..

I've removed the battery multiple times and didn't need to resolder anything. Admittidly the connections are a bit loose and many times I need to hit the remote against something to shake the connections and make it work again.
You first have to get the button/battery cover off. There's really no easy way to do this and in many cases the plastic can break. I found the best way was to use a small precision screw driver, with a rag on the end of it, and slowly pry away in the small crease on the side of the remote.
Once you remove the casing you will see the circuit board and the button covers. On the underside is the battery. I used my precision screw driver again to pry the clips holding the battery and slipped it out horizontally. Don't pry at it too hard. Just bend it a little bit to get some leverage on the battery and then try pull it to the left or right instead of trying to pull it up.
What difficulties are you having Mike?

Still doesnt ACTUALLY say how to take the battery out, cant believe you need to unsolder/solder it just to take the battery out.

I watched my 15 year old Niece change it for her mums Magna the other day. Took her 15 seconds for the battery change over....lol

I use a household key to lever the battery out of the holder. Haven't snapped any of the tabs yet. Obviously I hold down on the battery holder as I don't want to snap the solder.
Wish there was a way to replace the TF batteries rather than snapping them open and then re glueing :(

I use a nail file to open my remote and to remove the battery.

I just recorded a video of how quickly it can be done. Uploading now. Unfortunately it will be 108 minutes before it's ready to view.

Just realised this is for the 380. disregard.
I use the end of the car key for this. You'd be surprised as to how many bits and pieces throughout the car seem as if they've been designed to be removed with the key, all the light fittings for instance remove easiest with the car key ;)
