I bought the car complete with some swirling and scratches on the taillights from what looks like a crap polishing job or something. Just wondering if there is any product I could buy to buff out the plastic. Or even if anyone knows if Magic Hand Car Wash would be able to help out at all in that area, as I'm planning to take the car there soon.

I've used Meguiars PlastX as well as Duragloss Plastic Lens Polish (http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/duragloss/plastic_lens_polish) on my plastics before. The PlastX is pretty good for an off the shelf product, but I reckon the Duragloss is better.

I wouldn't go to a 'hand car wash' for any detailing advice. Heck, I wouldn't even go there to get my car washed...

You can use a headlight resotation kit

it really depends on the depth of the scratch. I would be looking to get a professional detailer look at it rather than Magic car wash if you are going to pay someone to do it

Waaaay back when I had a cheap $99 thing from Autobarn. It was ok, but very bulky and damn noisy. It actually shook my arms to bits after a couple of hours. It broke twice so was generally a POS. I had a Meguiars G220 v2 for a while, that was good. Can't be bought here anymore unfortunately.

Now im on the Mint DAS6 and its brilliant. Its not too $$$ so wish I had just got this to begin with. Build quality is AMAZING
