ok guys had the pioneer unit installed, and so far it is great, had it installed up on nth coast and the guy installing it ran out of time.

Now where the hell is the hand brake switch on a KH Verada and how do you get to it. I need to attach one wire to the negative side so as to get the dvd player to continue working without stopping and telling me it is illigal to have it working while driving.

At a guess, couldnt you just ground it then just not have it on while driving?

The wire that is supposed to go to the handbrake switch you can just wire it to the power or acc wire and you will be able to play whatever you want while your driving. I think...
Was a long time ago since I wired mine up.

Apparently Pioneer had to reengineer there units so there is no way to wire it up to play while driving.
The guy installing tried everything then rang pioneer and they told him to do it the way the installation instructions say.
I dont want it to do that anyway, all you need is a man in blue to see it on while driving and theres a big hole in your wallet

Pity about that change. I quite like watching the news on the way to work!

There definitely is a way to do it. Yes, Pioneer changed it so you can't just ground it, but there are still bypasses. I know because I've got one. lol

Try search Amazon for your particular headunit. There will be one.

You can do the bypass with a relay and the remote power wire. If it is a 2012 series, you will need a 2 pole switch microcontroller. About $20 on eBay.
