My speedo has been broken for a while now, its all over the shop sometimes it says I'm doing about 220mks (when I promise I'm not lol) and other times its working fine so I took it down to get it looked at and the guys said I needed a new instrument panel and it was going to be about $400

That sounded a bit steep so I looked on ebay and they sell instrument clusters for about $70 except they don't have my exact one (TE, Altera, 97, auto) all they have are like TJ, TR, advance, or TE/TF manual.

So my question is can I put one from a TF, TH, TJ or TR or something into my TE and have it work alright??

What KM do the white dial ones have? And are they mechanical odometer or digital?

Have both types here would have to check the kms .

Shame you're not in Vic. Down here, Jolly's have about 10 TE's and they only ask $55 for a cluster. Maybe check your local wreckers and look for a pick-a-part?

I'm pretty sure if you've got a TE, then you need a TE cluster and vica versa.
