hi all sorry if its in the wrong section

been having a ongoing issue with the brakes with my te. (no abs)
is it usual for them to feel rather average if you have to be hard on the brakes hard or consistently(traffic) after a few decent applications?
it was fitted with new pads when i bought the car, which arent exactly quiet at times.

im hoping a brake fluid flush and some better pads help, but any other issues i should look into aswell as being a possible cause?

also with my suspension, i have a feeling i have a stuffed shock in the back as it started knocking from time to time in the rear left.
and when the car is loaded the rear moves a hell of alot more compared to the front of the car
pretty much a heavy toolbox and 2 full tanks sits it nearly on bumpstops

any suggestions on what brands to use? as lowering it has crossed my mind
lows would be as far as i'd go as its my daily

car has done about 330000k's also

i'd have no idea when it was last done honestly myself either, as it looks the te was serviced at a dealer using genuine parts till it was traded

ok i'll have a look about.
this is my first 3rd gen, so im a little in the dark with theses as i used to have a 1st gen 8 years ago

mine was allright. duel fuel too
mine was riddled with rust so i sold it to the wreckers, as i replaced it with a commodore

lol.. i havent found acar that i'd be like that with yet.
