hey mate,
in my TF from the outside i opened up the plastics that surrounded my wipers and saw the vent where it brings in water for the air. There was a plastic cover that had aged and left a small gap and when i washed it or hard rain i had puddles in the footwell.
Do you have RACV? If so get them out to check the seals on the windshield to rule out a dodgy seal.
But what i did was quick and easy.
Also - have you had someone hose the window and you layed under there with a torch seeing exactly where it comes from? Using a mirror even? Could help with diagnoses
I had that, turned out to be a seam under the passenger guard.
First check around the airbox and under leaf guards etc, and windscreen if you can.
I originally thought it was the side of the windscreen, but it was just the water running further down and into the actual leak.

yes i had a leak that stemmed from the run off from the windshield run off area. I put my amp cable in the grommet and it was chasing the cable in. Fixed that with some water proof sealant and found the airbox area haha.
Best bet is to have someone watering the car and you looking if you are near hte south east suburbs mate i'm more than happy to help have a look!
