Hi,

I have noticed an issue with our 380 in relation to the headlights and air conditioning. If you turn off the car with the lights on (they automatically turn off) or switch them on after turning off car (to use the auto lights off feature to see where you are walking), the air conditioning automatically turns on when you next start the car. I find this annoying and can only see this as a problem, not a feature. I only use the air conditioning when needed (at least once a week to keep seals working) so hopefully this can be fixed somehow?

Anyone else noticed this peculiarity?

Steve

My aircon does that and I took it to Mitsubishi under warranty and they said the aircon switch is loose. Could be the same problem or it could not be.

If it is in the auto position for fan and direction it will start with AC just moving one will resolve it

If the outlet is set to foot/vent or vent and fan is on auto then AC will auto start.

I guess that makes sense. It has been cold in the mornings lately so the climate control will default to directing air to the feet until the car warms up. I always leave everything on auto as the system works really well (unlike climate controls in some other cars). I just noticed it recently at the same time I have started using the auto lights off feature to see my way down a 60 meter driveway.

The Magna system has its peculiarities as well. The auto function on my Ralliart is turned off if you make any changes to air circulation and only goes back to auto if you turn on the compressor again. Still works well though. Mitsubishi has done a pretty good job with these. I'd just like to choose when the compressor comes on.
