Hi All,
I installed a new stereo about 4 months ago. It works, but with some niggles:
When I turn the car on, the stereo does one of three things.

A: Works fine.
B: Works, but at half volume.
C: Has no volume.

Turning off the thing and back on again fixes it.
Also, Whatever it does, for the first 10 seconds or so it crackles, then comes right.

I bought a proper harness and earthed it as per the manual.
Any one have any ideas?

Sounds like its the stereo itself. If you had no power it wouldnt work at all and if you had no earth it wouldnt work at all. And the fact its so random would suggest the stereo to me.
