Hmm, mine doesn't either, is it justglobes that need replacing? I've still got factory warranty left, so if its anything else, i guess Mits can fix.

The one thing I miss having in a car is a brightness control for all that stuff, I had one in my TS. I find the cluster in the 380 isn't bright enough, and I couldn't find a way to change it other than swapping out globes for brighter ones. It's especially bad at dusk for me, I can't see any of the numbers on the cluster all that well.

You can fix this, twist the needle that resets the A and B trip computer to the right. That adjusts the brightness ;)

I think Kif should take some annual leave go on a road trip and call in on every member who needs a globe replaced behind the transmission.: One beer: for every globe he does.

Thanks mate, they don't make it obvious on the dash. I'll see how I go around dusk time next time I'm in the car. I looked in the manual, but I'm pretty sure the English versions were originally Swahili and translated to English by Yoda.

Oh well, will get it looked at when i go in for a service. With mits charging around $110/hour + parts (which they charge about $12 for each globe) it isn't worth it. Just take your time with it a you'll be right....

It's brighter Kif, but I only drove it when it was dark. Dusk, when the sun is going down is when I can't see anything, so I'll know when I finish work during the week!

My globe for gear selector blew, so i took it to Mitsubishi Moss Vale (never again) and when they pulled out the centre console they scraped the leather on the handbrake lever. I noticed it straight away and told them and they tried to blame me!!! I got very upset and they did replace it. Frustrating the quality of work from so many companies these days.

Unfortunately for me at this point in my life, time is money. And I don't really have time to rip apart the whole central console to get to a few lightbulbs. I'm pretty sure I can talk them out of charging me $110. If not, I'll find someone who will.

Mine are fried as well but as I am about to convert to manual have not bothered about the stupid globe, lights on dash work and I rarely look at the shifter

BTW the console top is a bugger to remove and squeeze the handbrake lever through the slot, I see many scratched handbrake levers

yeah the handbrake cops a battering taking the top off also be care not to damage the rubber surround on the console top removing it

Can someone point me to a blow by blow on how to remove this centre console? I can't seem to find the info anywhere?

Edit: don't worry. Sorted it. It was the false bottom in the compartment that had me stuffed!
