AMC,

After dropping a bit of money into some new amps for my car, im chasing some new components for the front doors of my KF Verada.

I've had a look at MEA, and checked the $300 budget ones and found a few that seemed interesting.

The Hertz ESK165, Orion XTR65,
and not on the site, the Alpine Type R's and JL C2600. (however the typre r's are just outside price)

Onto the amp part, using a JL 400.4 for the speakers, and perhaps might run the tweeter and woofer off own channels (if it is really worth it) and i often listen to Kanye West own style of music along with some Dubstep.

Anyone had any decent experiance with these at all? or can recommend any similarly priced components?

Found it hard to find anything on the MEA site (not a member)

Thanks.

I wouldn't even run the Type R's or JL's if I had access to the Hertz ESK165 but my vote still goes to the Maximo 6's if you would like to save some money while you are at it. The Hertz tweeters are very detailed not to say the Maximo's are not but the Maximo's are a soft dome tweeter which gives my preferred sound however you may hear a drop in detail between the two.

However with that said the MEA Review editor did rate the treble from the Maximo's higher than that of the Hertz so for me it would be hands down Morel Maximo's.
