It's been happening more and more often lately but for some reason my keyless entry will reset itself after a few days for no reason and then i have to reprogram the buttons and the indicators flash etc to acknowledge. Then it will just reset its damn self again a day maybe two days later. It also seems to happen if I'm getting in and out of the car a lot say if I'm shopping or going out etc.
I can unlock with the doors but its annoying you know?
Another issue is something is up with the battery so i may need a new one. Could that be affecting my keyless entry issue as well?

The battery inside the remote could be on its way out
Maybe grab another remote off someone and try that to rule out the remotes
Do you have a spare remote?

I find after a while the holder gets loose so I added a small piece of (double sided) foam tape to the inside of the cover to help keep the battery nice and snug in it's holder.

I think you may even have a BEM issue, think MCS-XI had the same or similar issue and in the end was tracked down to the BEM in his car.
Generally even when the batteries start to go the remove will not be dropped from the car, keeping in mind it is the remote that is programmed into the car, not the car to the remote. For this reason I would be looking at BEM instead. It is a PITA to do anything about as generally will then mean new ECU, Keys etc, you can get around this by getting an ecu that has the Immob disabled or by getting a new BEM and ECU and then purchasing new keys and getting them coded to the new BEM, this saves door lock issues and issues later with getting replacement keys as well

In my case, it was a BEM issue. This was caused by a faulty voltage regulator which slightly fried the computer and so it gave intermittent problems.
Issues included:
inability to hold the remote locking programming for more than a day;
sometimes it would leave the security light illuminated all night;
intermittent ability to unlock all doors at once with only one key turn (drivers door)
I tried several remotes (in total I had access to 11 remotes - all work with my KH but not in the car with the fault)
So yeah. Mitsubishi service department's action to this fault was to clean the throttle body. Useful as a screen door on a submarine. Consequently the screwy voltage made the engine die while the car was driving, and the driver had a crash. But the throttle body was clean!
