Have seen a few people have put folding mirrors on there magnas, yet I haven't been able to locate enough information to try this out myself. I know the mirrors are from JDM Diamantes, but where do i get the mirror switch and how do i wire it up?

I believe some parts of his set up came from a Pajero and a Diamante.

Hello!
This depends on how much work you want to do. It is possible to set it up with the JDM folding mirror drivers window panel switchpack, however, it is too much work for me.
I kept the mirror switch location.
You will need:
JDM Mirrors, with the glass panels.
Aussie mirrors if you have a Verada
Paint for the JDM mirrors as the Aussie mirrors are not able to be pulled apart and the plastics are all different.
JDM Pajero mirror switch (preferably new as they become tedious when older)
JDM Pajero Mirror relay.
I have pictures and codes of all this in my members thread.
You will need to cut the backing from the JDM mirrors, and glue it to the aussie glass panels. Install folding wiring in the doors, and cut the plug off your mirror switch and install a plug for the new mirror switch.
All parts together done, budget around $500

I'm trying to track down some F36a circuit diagrams to try and determine how difficult it is to get working in our cars (door control pannel that is). Failing that I have guy in NZ who is able to send me the drivers door loom, control pannel and a pair of mirrors for a little under $500. Be well over a month before I recieve it and try to get it going.

I sent you a PM regarding this. I have researched it and have sent you some info.

I've taken over this from MCS_XI and am currently halfway through fitting this stuff to my car. I'm currently speaking to a guy from OZVR4 forums who is helping me source the last few parts required.
To use the door control pannel with full functionality in our cars you'll need the following
# All four door switches from a JDM import diamante, you CAN NOT inter-mix between ADM, USDM and JDM specs
# All window regs from a JDM import, ADM and USDM are the same, JDM are different
# JBOX from a JDM import under the driver's dash
# ETACS ECU from a JDM import
# ASSIST ECU from a JDM import
# INSTRUMENT PANNEL ECU from a JDM import
# Folding mirrors from a JDM import
# All four door looms from a JDM import (optional)
I do believe Mike said this is soo far from the win column it's in Europe... I concur.
I've also been able to track down official circuit diagrams for every single variation of Diamante/ Magna/ Sigma/ Verada.

Or you can use pajero switch, relay and folding mirrors like everyone else on here who've done the mod already. Much more simpiler.

I am in the middle of getting Mike to help do the conversion on myn. After emailing a shite load of wreckers in NZ, I found the relay that is needed and the plug as well. I was lucky enough that I was given a drivers side mirror from Micheal, and purchased the passengers mirror from NZ off trademe for $15 plus $20 postage and also revcived the switch panel out of a Diamontie even though it was no use to me

I am all about how awesome this will be when finished!
I miss mods like this.

Mike, can you shoot me some JDM Part Numbers and I will look them up, I have access to parts directly from Japan so most of this stuff is still available believe it or not. I have ordered so much new stuff for my Diamante it is not funny given that here in Oz MMAL stop supply of parts for cars about 5 minutes after the cars are released.
Savage, do you have those diagrams by any chance, would like to get the F36 ones for my car so I can sort out a few little niggling issues

Mal,
I sent you a PM. But almost everything on that list from Savage3 was supplied by me anyway. I have imported quite a lot of specific JDM parts myself, I only missed the Instrument Control ECU and the regs.

I can give some part numbers, but I am having trouble with the asa on my computer.
I can scan to a PDF but will take some time. I'm hoping to try this weekend.
