I have a v6 TF Magna, but can't get the diagnostic codes to show. I have grounded pin1 on the diagnostic plug, but the check engine light does nothing????

Can anyone help with instructions on how to get the codes as the car won't start....(I suspect the CAS, Coil or Immobiliser)

Basically the fuel pump has been replaced (the old was ok but I had a spare in the shed), spark plugs are wet, they spark if I crank it over, compression on all 6 cylinders are good. I can't figure out why I can't get any sort of fire, it's as if the spark is getting snuffed out.

Dizzy cap terminals are a bit correded but ok and I would get no spark at all if that was at fault. I am also thinking that it can't be the CAS, Coil or Immobilser either for the same reason....

any help would be greatly appreciated, especially with getting the engine light to work so I can see if there are any error codes...

Does the check engine light come on at all? Should light up for about 5 seconds when you first turn the ignition on.

I suppose you have checked all the fuses?
