I prefer the scrunched up look that you get with factory leather... it looks like vinyl the way that you have it??

Yeah I'll do the bottom part, but I haven't decided how yet.. some kinda carpet, or leather again.. ?

Looks nice cthulhu. I don't know if I would be game to do it myself!
My old man used to glue carpet to almost anything in the interior (he knew not to carpet the windscreen  ) I wouldn't let him near my car! When I went overseas on a holiday he cut out and bloody SUPER GLUED light grey cheap and nasty carpet from a trash and treasure market to my dash. I nearly killed him! That was on an XD falcon.
When we buried him we should have put a roll of carpet and industrial adhesive glue in with him. Would have kept him busy!

Q. Who on earth glues carpet to a gear stick knob?
A. Yeah, you guessed right.

Actually, what I've done so far was dead easy! Corners can be a bit tricky but you just need to be careful.

Basically with mine I took the door off and unscrewed the fabric bit then drew around it loosely on the leather and cut it out, then glued a edge at a time trimming in the corners and cutting to size as I went. It's pretty easy just takes a while :)

If I end up re-doing them with the scrunched look it might be a whole different ball game!

i used a spray called "contact adhesive"(repco have it) u spray it over the whole material and the pice u want 2 stick it to. leave for about 1min till it gets tacky then press the material on. then u can stuff around with the edges. piece of piss. total cost was $40(16.95 glue and 22.95 material)will post up photos later when my camera batteries have charged.
