notice that a few ppl have 3.8l or supercharged awd or both have they had any issues with rear diffs or transfer cases.
heard you could use vr4 parts in there place eg diff/transfer is there a benifit in doing this any info would be great.
looking at twin turbo our awd offroad tj racecar thanks
I believe the drivetrain is a mish mash of evo 6 and 7 partz. Better off looking at replacement bits from an evo

UK based outfit with a solid reputation in motorsport, just so happens that they do a range of drive train upgrades for the lancer Evo. Quaife specialise mainly in the Helical type LSD, and they have a reputation for being very tough.
I work 3 doors down from a performance shop where they fitted a Quaife front heilcal diff to a 650Bhp VRX magna (Yes you heard that right!!). The main mechanic said that after a year, no problems with either the diff or the engine - Twin turbo 6g74, forged internals, massive intercooler, 5 speed manual, Upgraded everything + $50,000 project for the owner. in case you were asking ;-)
I have an AWD verada. Most of the AWD bits are courtesy of Evo 6's & 7's (pretty sure the rear LSD is evo 7) while the INVECS II with in house front diff is from the Japan only Evo GT-A, and the centre diff/transfer case is from an Evo 6.
There is an Australian distrubutor for Quaife engineering, but you could contact these guys all the same.

looks like their strong enough even though they look tiny and if they do break know where to go but have spare awd wreck for spares just in case but did not want to keep fixing mecvhanicals panel replacement is bad enough
