Hey guys,
At the 31 second mark in the following video, can anyone identify which models the clock this Diamante has came on? I remember seeing a member who had one the same in his TJ at the SA fortnightly meet once, but I don't remember who the member was or which car it came off. I really want it to match the new blackout cluster I have but I don't know which models it even came on.

Just to confirm - what are you finding different about that clock over the ones we got? Honestly - to me they look the same. I have a TL clock setup in my TJS2 and it pretty much looks the same.
Unless you're talking about the darker backing? That's done easier enough with a stencil and a spray can.

Don't worry about the clock, where can I get me one of these dash fascias and front arm rests?

No the fact it's AM/PM and it's bright white LED versus the factory ones are a dull orange and 24 hour. TJS2's were all quite a bit different from what's in the vid.
EDIT: Also, as for the dash and arm rests, definitely Diamante only unfortunately. :P
I wish I'd gotten MR SPL's Kouki parabolics now though after seeing how they look on that white car. :(

Ok.
Look for a KE clock (KF have the speed alarm in there too)
You will need to mount the adjust buttons somewhere, the KE clock is exactly like that.
For the record, my clock in the KH, has am/pm marks in it.

Any KE? Also, quick google on a KE Verada reveals it looks like you're right. Looks like yet another example where Mitsubishi did some cost saving for their newer models! The white one in the vid is really sharp and bright, matches the blackout cluster perfectly. The below pic looks similar or the same. I would have thought this would be a KL/KW thing, not the other way around! >.<

The KE clock was the cheapest of them all. The reason the KL clock is the way it is is because of the KJ2 climate screen matches it.

While I did consider that, the problem with that is that it's dimmer, less sharp and 24 hour only, whereas the earlier ones are brighter, white to match the blackout cluster and quite a bit sharper, plus AM/PM which I prefer.
If someone can get me one of these clocks I will gladly swap you or a little cash your way, I personally think the white one in the vid I linked is the best of the bunch!

Thats obviously the best, captain obvious :P
But yeah, check out the three u-pullits... if there are going to be any 3rd gen veradas there theyre going to be KE/F

Tip.
MUST BE A KE!
The KF clock is like the TL one with a speed alarm in it. You will need the buttons to adjust the clock from the surround (where your mode buttons are, the clock has only 3 adjust buttons) and you will need to put them somewhere. Often, people mount the adjustment buttons in the roof trim of the glovebox.
I will have a look at the wiring tonight but make sure you get a decent length of wire and the plug for your clock and the switch.

It's not captain obvious, someone just said it was the cheapest of the lot! :P
Another thought I just had is my stock one has the oil, battery and seabelt lights in it. However, the KL/W cluster I have also has those in so I effectively have two sets of those lights now. Another reason the older style is better (Unless of course those lights are in that too. :P)

The seatbelt light wont be in there.
Battery and voltage will be.
FYI, (could be obvious), these KE clocks were shipped in all JDM wagons as well as Diamantes for the US market except the 2004 shape which may or may not have a trip computer as well.

Nah that's good to know, wasn't aware all the US Diamantes had them.
EDIT: Although there are several US Diamante clocks on eBay, none have wiring or associated buttons. I'm assuming my existing mode buttons which adjust the time won't interact with the new clock :(
Sounds like U Pull It might be it. And the TE had something else?

Whats the go with the card slot next to ignition? Also never seen a climate controll screen that big.
Hi guys, sorry for restarting an old thread.
I have a KL (same dim orange/blue clock as TL's) and I was wondering if I got one of those brighter KE/KF clocks, would the existing clock adjustment buttons (which are the up/down scroll buttons for the trip computer modes) work with the old clock, and would the plugs be a straight swap?
Wonder if anyone has successfully done this swap before and any info shared would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

I have looked into this very thoroughly. Basically you have to add an ignition on wire and you should be fine. This means adding a pin to your factory plug and stealing the ignition power from the instrument plug. Otherwise it should marry. I'm sure there is another wire requiring change
