I've been out shopping for Castrol coolant test strips, I'd like to know what my coolant is doing.
None available at Autobahn, or Repco. Anyone seen or bought any north of Adelaide?

I got mine a few years ago from Bursons, they deal mostly to trade customers unlike the others.

Yes, well - spent some time today running around looking for these. Best I could do was to hear that Castol no longer make them, but they are $20 for a bottle of 50 test strips.
Hit paydirt at the Adelaide Womma road u-pull-it, at the parts counter next to it. Autopro guys were helpful, one said he had some at home and sold me some. But the stuff was 5 years out of date. Still works, so thanks!

Anyhow: Trawling the Interwebs found this:"Cool-Trak 311519 Coolant Testing Strips - Set of 50" from Amazon.com. Less than $20 delivered to my letter box.
Strips: AUD 11.19
Shipping & Handling: AUD 6.49

Good way to save some petrol if you want some.

PS. They are made by Castol, only work on some coolants - not the red or yellow types, ie ethylene glycol based green stuff is ok.

I have just ordered some test strips from Ebay. Same strips - $US7.79, postage $US 8.46. Hopefully they will do the job.

Awwww! You got them cheaper! lol
A good price considering the original Castrol strips were $20.
Hopefully they have a long expiry date. lol
Found them on eBay now (couldn't before because I didn't know the name).
