Gday

Just after some advice :)

Basically I can get a;
-10" SoloBaric L7 Kicker sub in a box for $400
-Pioneer GM-7100M mono amp for $125
- " " GM-6150F 4ch amp for $125

My current deck seems ok, front speakers are good & previous owners got some very decent rears.

Obviously it's on a budget. Main question is am I on the right track, or i'm way off & would be better going for xyz?

It's going in a 97 TE wagon, if that helps or matters..

Cheers
Russ

Thats not a bad little setup..

Have you thought about maybe looking at a JL sub..? You could get yourself a JL 12W3V3 in a box for around that sort of money and thats more SQ than the L7.

Edit: I actually got offered a Polk Audio 12" in box - Posted to me for $170. - Personally, I think this would perform better than the L7 for SQ.

Power that with the Monoblock at around 250RMS @ 4 ohm and you're laughing!

The GM6150F is 4 x 60W RMS @ 4 ohm - Which is a nice little upgrade, depending on what your front & rear speakers are.
