It been a long time i know, and for this I'm sorry.

Daylight Running LED's Control Unit How To

In this turtorial I will show how to build a daylight running LED's control unit. My unit will turn on when the car
alternator is charging the battery. The volatage is set to ~13.6V, it avoids the problem when your indicators are flashing the voltage may go down below 14v that alternator should be producing. I will also show how to set up this voltage setting and how to make it plug and play for your car.

Parts List:

Fuse holder - SZ2014-$2.50
Fuse 2A - SF2194-$0.40
Relay - SY4061-$4.95
UB3 Box - HB6014-$5.45
Voltage switch kit- KC5377-$32.95
Glands (pkt of 2) - HP0720-$4.95
Total----------------------$51.20

Other parts:

Adpater- you will need a plug and socket for the park lights of your car
LED strip light/ angle lights/ what ever you make your DRL out of.

All parts are bought from Jaycar, there aren't the cheapest places to buy the parts but Jaycar is everywhere and easy
to get parts from, so I decide to use them. The adpater parts was bought from wreckers off cars with damage wiring harness
and broken headlights.

Tools:

Solder Iron 40w
Side cutters
Drill with a 8mm drill bit
Multi meter

Here the set up video, explains the way I wire up the park light off relay and how to set up the board.

I could make one for $40 plus postage, I not sure if I will run into problems selling them on AMC because I'm not a sponsor hence I'm not adding my labour into them, as they dont take to much to make them.

Edited due to if I make a few up I can keep some cost down due to buying bulk.

There are a few control boxes floating on the market for DRL, this seem to do everything that my one does. Plus it cheaper as well.

SON OF A B****,
I made one of those voltage switches up for a temperature alarm for my car, and I used the recommended jiffy box. But I couldn't get the board to sit flat, it never occurred to me to flex the box and snap it into place - so I filed down the strips on one side of the box...
