had a bad leak in passenger footwell and transmission ****ed up real bad until I disconnected the hoses see if it would dry out.. ran well for a day then in the middle of a drive failed again until I turned it off and restarted the car. could get it out and try completely drying it but would rather replace than have to worry about something that could give me issues down the road so how much needs to be replaced? Ive been told I need a whole ECU kit incl key barrel. Quoted $440 over the phone, seen them on eBay for $125 and rang U-Pullit theyll sell it for $69 lol. anyone done this and had any other issues?

replaced ecu, drove good around the block for 30 minutes... last corner had in low gear revved up to 3000 put in second then lost power again! fff... also did it pretty bad this morning, I noticed if I just push the pedal to the floor it powers through it like the motor isnt fully running properly :S really weird

Clean the ECU plugs with some electrical cleaner in an aerosol, use a toothbrush or similar to work it in.
