I'm just wondering if anyone has successfully installed an aftermarket alarm in a TF, The TF does't currently have an alarm but has the central locking. Is it a case of taping into the receiver under the steering column? as i want to utilize the aftermarket remotes to lock/unlock the car. For anyone who says just get a new remote, i have one here but TBH i hate the design.

Got it off ebay for $80 and many people poo pood the idea of a cheaper ebay alarm. But its been in for a week and i love it. I tapped into the power door control box under the dash. Leaving factory there, hide all boxes and wraped in black tape. Looks factory.

Took me about 4 hours in total.
