Also To find out how you find out if you need 8 mm side pin or 10 mm side pin? Quality of the product?

From memory i think all he did was cut it down. but dont quote me on that it may have changed this was a few years ago.

i might have a short shifter lying around ill have a look tomorrow.
the shifter has 2 cables coming off it, one off the bottom of the main shaft, the other off a little side-arm thing, measure this to see if it is 8 or 10mm diamater. Might be a pain to measure without removing a lot of stuff unless you have a pair of vernier or digital calipers. AFAIK the older ones were larger and perhaps tj onwards were smaller diamater.
