I've been researching DAB+ stereos also, I'm not sure about the harness issue, but I'm pretty sure a new aerial is required to receive the digital signal - thats the consistent piece of advice I have seen in many of the articles and sources I have read.

I'm curious to know why that would be? Can you point me to apparently reliable sources of this advice?

DAB+ uses different frequencies than for analogue FM, and therefore have a different wavelength. This means a standard FM antenna may not give the best performance when it comes to DAB+.

Ideally the best DAB+ radio is software upgradeable, since over time the format may change. The range of DAB+ is limited as well, it doesn't have anywhere near the coverage as FM does in the same locality. Even though a FM antenna will work to some degree, a good quality DAB+ antenna is recommended to maximise performance. DAB+ uses frequencies in frequencies around 9A-10B (depending on locality). The '9' and '10' refer to the TV channels 9 and 10, the 'A' and 'B' (and for 9, '9C') refer to spare frequency blocks after TV channel 9 and before 10, and between 10 and 11 (11 being the channel that digital channel 10 is on).

I just bought the Crystal unit from JB Hifi online. I will be installing it on the weekend. The featureset is extensive and it comes with an internal on glass antenna for the DAB+ tuner. I will post back with my experience once completed.

Well. the unit is in. So far looks good, easy enough to install. Simple to set up and use. Sounds good. I think i will be getting a better antenna in the not too distant future though. On glass antennae just don't do it for me.

Hi there. I have purchased the Crystal DAB+ head unit for my Peugeot 308cc but it did not come with a mounting cage. What would I need to do the installation? Will a universal mounting cage work? Also what other things (adapters for steering control, CAN Bus)) are required to install it so that I can use the stalk on the steering wheel? Does the Bluetooth feature require anything further or is it all in the unit?

Sorry to ask such basic questions, but I'm a newbie & need all the help I can get.
Another unrelated question - I have bought an after-market cup holder/slim tray (single din) that goes into the space below the OEM Head unit, but it needs a mounting cage as it is smaller than the opening. Where would I find this mounting kit for a plastic cup holder/tray? I've been to Jay Car & Super Cheap but no one seems to know anything about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Being that this is not a Peugeot Forum and infact is a Mitsubishi Forum info will be limited, but I would say depending on your model, year, layout of your dash you will require one of these. These normally come with plastic sides to attach an aftermarket headunit to.

As for the interface to get the steering wheel controls to work I believe Aerpro offer one but for the model and what not you would be best off visiting a local like Autobarn or any Car Audio Specialists, if all else fails Carbon Car Systems or FHRX Studios in NSW should be able to help you out via email with parts. I cannot find this headunit you are describing but if it says it has Bluetooth is should work from the get go, it wont if it says something like "Bluetooth Ready".

As for your cup holders you are going to have to replace the fasica to fit an after market unit by the look of it anyway (dont hold me to that though, do some more research on your car first), some of the pockets under the headunits in the kits you buy locally or from Ebay, alot of them are solidly positioned in there so you would not be able to add this cup holder kit to that, best best might be, to get a double dine fascia for your car with the cage included and that should suit both items fine. Key word here is should.
