My beloved TP has begun to get rust in the doors and front guards.
A mate of mine has offered me a TM for parts.
I know that some TM interior parts won't fit a TP but Will the TM body parts (eg doors, guards) fit onto a TP?

sweet. Thanks man. I really appreciate it. Another question, are the rear doors on a wagon any different in size to sedan rear doors?

I would say yes to the rear doors
I dont think mitsubushi would put out millons on changing the body work
i have done panel swaps either way between the first gens
I have found out by chance that TP and TN
lower ball joint arms are way different to a TM

Sedan doors fit the wagons. Virtually all parts are interchangeable. I have a TM interior in my TP wagon the only difference is the console but you can also put the Tp in the TM its just a matter of some slight modifications to where it screws up to the dash. I have done it both ways my TM sedan now has TP console.
The same with some driver door interior trim panels have the switch for the wagon door lock/unlock switch. I put TM sedan door trims in mine and just had to modify the trim to allow the door switch to be put in place.
Sedan carpet also fits the wagon.
From memory the bottom part to the rear sedan seat will fit the wagon but not the back support for obvious reasons.
There is not too much i have not done to a Magna. I put TP wagon power steering system onto a TN sedan and also put TP injection onto a TM as well as auto trans due to the later trannys being stronger. One thing to watch is the starter motors. EFI motors have a slightly shorter starter motor due to the fact there is a support for the EFI inlet that bolts to the back of the block and the earlier longer starter motors will not fit in the smaller space once this is in place. cheers, I didn't know about the starter motors. I knew that the consoles were slightly different. I plan to put the new TM doors on my TP, then I'll hopefully do up a members ride thread will the full story of my restoration.

If yours is a carby model change it to EFI when you get the chance as nice power increase!! I'm still tossing up the idea of putting Ts injection on mine as you get a few more kilowatts again and with the lighter weight of the TP Vs Ts should go better than they do!!Vee

Is that because alot of the early ones did not have power steering?
I know the power steering ball joints are stronger.
I had one of the very first Wagons when they were released as a company car and it had no power steer but standard aircon which was good back then for a bog standard GLX as lots of other manufacturers it was an option. The early trans were not so good either it started surging at around 20k on the clock and the maintenance guys had no idea what it was at the time. I remember them rebuilding the carby as they thought it was faulty........Then the auto stories started coming out about servicing etc!! Vee

I have a TM sedan which i put TP wagon power steering on and put the manual steer back on the Tp and sent it to the recyclers. Just swapped the whole system lock stock and barrel and had no issues.
Yup the old TPS is on the auto carbs as well. Vee

Mines already got EFI
The very nice elderly couple whom i bought it from had it since new and when they bought it, they decided to pend a few extra bucks and get a GLX with EFI!!
