Hi guys, got a problem with my drivers side power window, I have a tl magna. It's stuck down, I had the power window thing replaced less then 12 months ago because I had this same problem.

My question is to tl owners, when you hold down the power window button for the drivers side, does it keep clicking after the window is all the way down?

While I don't have a TL - I can't imagine it's a very good thing that you're hearing clicking noises from inside the door. I've got a TJS2 with power windows and it definitely does not make any clicking noises when the window is down.

I would make a guess that the regulator is probably stuffed again. Sometimes even giving them a light tap can make them work again - i.e. they get jammed/stuck.

Otherwise, this may be a bit far fetched, but I'm thinking that the clicking is from the electrics somehow short-circuiting? It'd only short circuit so much before the fuse would blow so check all your fuses.

I would recommend that you take off the door trim and inspect the internals. Look for any loose connectors, signs of water leakage, check the grease level in the runners, and have a look at the regulator. Maybe get out the mallet and give it a slight tap to see if the gears in the motor will get unstuck somehow.

sounds like the gears in the regulator have broken and there for it continues spinning internally and wont winde the window up

Lol it turns out a good slam of the door will fix it. Also the clicking was coming from the switch on the center console.

Is a reg issue, perhaps was not fitted correctly or lubricated with correct grease.

Te elec to TW elec regs are the same
